Service information

Submit a repair request for review. Do not send a device until Texas Board Works confirms acceptance and shipping arrangements. Submitting a request is not approval to perform paid repair work.

Contact & appointments

For an unlisted device, custom quote, modification or general question, use our contact form. It does not create a repair ticket.

Email [email protected], or message the team through your repair ticket. Consumers currently use mail-in service. Local drop-off is only available to separately verified business partners; no walk-in hours are advertised.

Mail-in shipping instructions

Shipping details are shared privately in your repair ticket after the team accepts the request. Do not send a device until those instructions are available.

Local B2B drop-off uses a separate address. Instructions are shared only after the business verifies a vendor for local drop-off access. Wholesale approval alone does not grant local access.

Before you ship

  1. Wait for ticket acceptance and shipping instructions. Put your ticket number inside the package.
  2. Back up accessible data. Remove loose game discs, cartridges and removable storage unless the team asks for them.
  3. Power the device off. Protect it with cushioning in a rigid box so it cannot move; protect a bare board with suitable antistatic packaging. Include only accessories requested for diagnosis.
  4. Do not ship a swollen, leaking, hot or visibly damaged battery. Contact us first and follow the carrier's battery restrictions.
  5. Use tracked shipping and keep the receipt. Confirm your return address in the ticket before return shipment.

Assessment fees, in plain language

Does submitting a request cost anything?

No. Initial photos and an external scope check are free. If powered diagnosis or exploratory work is needed, we agree a fixed assessment fee before starting.

Do I pay the assessment on top of the repair?

One initial assessment is credited toward the approved repair total. It is not charged twice. Simple confirmed connector jobs do not automatically need an assessment fee.

What if the board cannot be repaired, or I decline?

The assessment you approved and any separately authorized expenses remain due, along with agreed return shipping. Submitting a ticket does not authorize these charges. See the live price menu for current assessment fees.

Repair terms

You must own the device or have the owner's permission to submit it. Describe symptoms, liquid exposure, prior attempts and known damage accurately. Back up accessible data before repair.

Fixed prices cover the stated confirmed repair. Starting prices need diagnosis and an approved final quote; labor-only prices exclude the separately quoted part or kit. We do not use rolling hourly billing. Connector replacement assumes an otherwise serviceable board with intact pads. Missing traces, liquid damage and other faults may require a different quote. Mod installation prices exclude the kit unless explicitly stated. Shipping and applicable tax are separate.

Intake photo review and a basic external scope check are free. Powered diagnosis and exploratory work require an agreed assessment. There is no automatic charge when a ticket is submitted. Choose one initial assessment tier, not several; any increase requires approval first. The initial assessment is credited toward the approved repair total, not added on top. If repair is declined or cannot be completed, the agreed assessment and separately authorized expenses remain due. Further assessment or repairs require a written scope and your approval.

Turnaround depends on diagnosis, parts and queue availability. Not every board is repairable; data recovery is not guaranteed. Recovery, erasure, restoration or destructive testing must be specifically agreed. Never put device passcodes in ordinary ticket messages.

Review the total estimate before approving it. Payment is arranged directly with the team; the site does not process card payments. PAID is a manual bookkeeping record, not an online card transaction. Contact us if a record is incorrect.

You may decline an estimate before authorizing work. For cancellation after approval, contact us to agree how already authorized work, ordered parts and return shipping will be handled. No undisclosed cancellation or no-fix fee is automatically added.

Warranty policy

Any repair-specific coverage, duration and exclusions will be stated in writing before you approve the repair. No blanket duration, lifetime coverage or successful-repair guarantee is advertised. Ask the team if your estimate does not specify applicable coverage.

If the repaired issue returns, contact us with your ticket number and symptoms. Liquid exposure, prior damage and customer-supplied parts need case-specific discussion. Nothing here is intended to remove rights that apply under law.

Contact inquiries store your name, reply details, device information, optional reference images and message in a separate staff-only inbox. Images are resized and re-encoded to remove metadata. No account or repair ticket is created. We use these details to review and respond to your inquiry; do not include sensitive files or credentials.

Privacy & repair records

The portal stores account name and email, a password hash, submitted contact/address details, device descriptions, photos, notes, estimates, invoices and repair history. Sessions and security records protect access. We use these records to manage your account and requested service.

Records are available to the submitting account, authorized shop members where applicable, and repair staff. Internal notes are not displayed to customers. Hostinger provides website, database and file storage. Details needed for an agreed shipment may be shared with the carrier.

Do not upload card information, account passwords, identity documents or unrelated private files. We do not sell ticket information or use it for advertising. Repair images are stored privately; the portal is not a backup of your device's contents.

Records are retained for active service, repair history and legitimate accounting or dispute needs. Contact us for access, correction or deletion; we will verify your identity and explain any required retention. Backup copies may remain until their backup cycle expires. No automatic deletion deadline is promised.

Accounts are intended for adults and authorized business representatives. A parent or guardian should submit a child's device. Send privacy questions to [email protected].
